Arctic Moss is an aquatic plant found growing on the bottom of Tundra lake beds and around bogs. This plant has adapted well to the climate. When the plant is not growing it stores nutrients so new leaves can be made quickly in the next Spring. The more leaves the plant grows, the more it can photosynthesize. It is adapted to the incredibly strong winds because it grows near the ground. It is protected from the drying winds and dry air of the Arctic Tundra.
The Arctic Willow has also adapted to the extreme climate of the Arctic Tundra. It grows roots very close to the surface because of the permafrost that plagues the Arctic Tundra. It keeps itself alive and warm with long fuzzy hairs it grows. It also has its own naturally produced pesticide to keep predators away. The Arctic Willow is about 15 to 20cm in height and has no specific style or look.
The Pasque Flower is one of the only flowers in the Arctic Tundra. The plant grows only low to the ground and has silky hairs that help insulate it. This flower is found throughout the Arctic Tundra. The Pasque flower has several stems that all rise up off the ground 6 to 8 inches. Each stem has 5 to 8 violet petals and yellow stamens in the middle.
